Learn how to play Hawaiian slack key guitar or ukulele just like Moon
did from his Uncle Jonah; by jamming on the back lanai. Moon's
method of teaching will help you understand, hear, and feel the music.
No prior experience necessary. All you need is a desire to learn and
an instrument. Students are encouraged to record their sessions for
more practice later. Students of any age are welcome.
Sessions can be combined for visiting students to speed up the
learning process. Imagine returning home and playing a Hawaiian
song for your family!

| "If you want to learn to play the ukulele, and are willing to invest some effort into it, Moon Kahele can teach anyone. I should know - I'm living proof. When we got together for my first lesson, I was so bad that Moon began the session with a prayer (the first of many). Within a few weeks, thanks to Moon's patience and perseverance (as well some practice on my part), I was no longer terrible. Before long, I was actually pretty good, and even performed a couple times in public with Moon. Prior to meeting Moon, I had virtually no musical skill or knowledge.
